Melissa and Tim met in Florida, they are both chefs with boundless energy. Everyone knew it was true love when Tim was not only willing to let Melissa tell him what to do now and then, but when he moved to Madison she followed!
Cooking equals love, and Melissa and Tim cooked, pickled, baked and chopped everything for all their guests, all 160 of them. The flavors and colors were a perfect match to their October hilltop wedding in Mt. Horeb at the beautiful Prevailing Winds Lodge. The ceremony overlooked the rolling hills, and the party and dinner were under a giant white tent full of candles and white lights.
Working with both of them was a joy, they were professionals, but also knew how to relax and let little details go. Family and friends helped set up the decor and flowers and braved the chilly weather to help them celebrate.
We met over coffee to talk over details and coordinate their timeline, as well as the tasks I could take off their plates on their wedding day, some of those tasks were:
- Working with the owners of Prevailing Winds on logistics
- Organizing the rehearsal practice
- Coordinating with vendors
- Assisting the photographer get all the formal photographs
- Setting up final decor
- Keeping the timeline of the day on track
- Light clean up after dinner
There were many wonderful and fun parts of this wedding, from the live piano playing for the early evening and wedding procession, the fabulous food, but the nicest of all was watching Melissa and Tim as they were so obviously in love saying their tearful vows. When a big, tough guy weeps as he talks about how much his soon to be wife means to him there are no words, and not a dry eye in the house! Thank you Melissa and Tim for the opportunity to help make the day you envisioned a reality!
Friends and Family were key in getting so much done, but the vendors they hired were also amazing, thanks to:
