Amber and Sam, or Samber as they are know to friends and family, celebrated their marriage at the Lussier Center on a perfect summer day in Madison.
Their decor was as special as they are, Amber had collected beautiful old vintage plates, to create unique tables for their guests to enjoy, the room was full of summer flowers in all colors, especially sunflowers, Amber’s favorite flower, and the rustic old barn with the custom arch was the backdrop for their ceremony.
Amber and Sam had a crew of amazing helpers, who decorated the interior of the Lussier Center the day before, but Amber knew she wanted her helpers to be her guests and to be able to relax and enjoy their wedding day and help them celebrate. Which is what I was did for them, by coordinating the day of details.
We met several times in the weeks prior to the big day, to go over plans and create the “Martha to Do” list for the day of coordinating.
Some of the tasks I did were:
- Set up the outdoor flowers and decor
- Coordinate and greet vendors
- Assist with the rehearsal dinner
- Pin boutonnieres
- Organize and send the Bridal party to the altar
- Arrange and set out the late night doughnuts and popcorn snacks
- Coordinate friends and family with day of tasks
There were many special moments for the day, the flower girl and ring bearer doing their big jobs with big smiles, the live acoustic guitar playing for the ceremony, the special reading in honor of Amber’s grandmother, with timeless words of wisdom, and a perfect summer day for fun and celebrating in the prairie, with games, good food, sunshine and love.
