Bliss Coordinating is the bees knees. Martha was such a delight to work with and really kept me on track with planning. On the day of my wedding I had absolutely no concerns with Martha in charge. Our day ran smooth thanks to Bliss Coordinating helping us coordinate our vendors the week of, helping with our rehearsal, and decorating my whole reception . I really wish I had more events I could hire Martha for.
Finding Martha was absolutely the best thing that happened to us in 2020, barring the wedding itself! As the mother of the bride, I was happy to do the heavy lifting to organize the 150-person wedding and then the 30-person pandemic wedding, but when it came down to the 10-person “fingers-crossed-we-all-live-through-this wedding”, I knew I was out of my depth. Martha made all the difference! She is worth her weight in gold, and I mean this literally. We are now 10 days post-wedding and I am still floating on the cloud of pure joy that I was free to experience fully, because Martha was there to deal with the stuff. I am forever grateful, Martha! A real find!
I originally hired Martha to help with my daughter’s big, pre-covid wedding. When it got cancelled due to covid, she worked with me on a smaller, DIY backyard event in August. She was wonderful – lots of helpful advice, willing to do whatever was needed, and really supportive as we figured out how to navigate a covid wedding event. Day of she was fabulous – kept an eye on everything and caught all those gaps in the flow of events before anyone noticed. it was a complete success, and Martha was a big part of it. I cant recommend her highly enough!
Working with Martha was the best and easiest decision we made in our wedding planning! I had attended a wedding where Martha had been coordinating, and everything seemed to flow wonderfully! We met with Martha early on in our planning, so she could get a feel in what we were envisioning. Through meetups, emails, google docs-we were really able to stay connected with Martha. As our wedding year began, and public health changes were happening in our world- Martha really stayed connected and communicated with us through every step. With the guidelines changing every single week, we were on standby with plans and backup plans. As it soon became clear that the large wedding that Martha was helping us coordinate would not be happening, Martha met with us to plan the next steps for our new “mini wedding.” We ended up getting married outside at my husband’s family home growing up. Martha came to visit the new venue, to make sure she had a true vision of how it could all come together. Because our wedding was soon after the stay at home order, and things were slowly starting to open back up, our goal was to make people feel safe and comfortable. She helped me figure out seating arrangements, wedding favors, plans for keeping socially distanced. On the wedding day itself, she remained the point person for all our vendors and handled the payments and setting up of everything. When I arrived to the venue, Martha was hard at work decorating and setting up exactly what I had envisioned. My husband and I still laugh, because he said even though him and his groomsmen were getting ready at the house where everything was happening, his one job was stay downstairs, drink mimosas, and hang out with his guys. Again, Martha is the best wedding decision we made and she truly made all the changes happening around us manageable and enjoyable. Looking back on our day and looking back at the original day I had planned in my head, I think the new wedding that we had at the end of May was even better! I am so thankful we found Martha to help coordinate my wedding. She did so much more than just day of help and preparation. She sent me pre-wedding day checklists to make sure I had all of the not so obvious details covered and spent a lot of time with me on the timeline to make sure everything ran smoothly and just how I wanted it. She had the best attitude and no task was too big or too small for her to help with. She took initiative and was very responsive for the months leading up to the big day. Martha was fantastic to work with throughout the entire planning process and the wedding day! In the months leading up to the wedding she was responsive, cordial, and our meetings were extremely productive. The day of the wedding she was constantly on the move helping with decoration, assisting / instructing vendors, and setting up the bride / groom’s suite. Once guests arrived she was welcoming and professional while also managing the gift table and conducting crowd control with our DJ. Working with Martha was easy and fun! Upon our first meeting, we could tell that it was important to her to understand the vibe we envisioned for our wedding day and how best she could help us execute our plans. She is transparent with pricing (which is very fair) from day one and there were no surprises along the way.
Martha’s knowledge of this industry and experience in an environment that was foreign to us allowed us to put complete trust in her. She helped introduce herself to our vendors, coordinated any loose ends and got everyone on the same page. I felt extremely supported and a weight lifted when she even helped handle any emails from our vendors during the week leading up to the wedding. It was much easier for me to consult with just 1 person (Martha) versus a dozen at that point. She also assisted with the intricacies of our timeline, attended our rehearsal and suggested solutions to ensure everything ran the way we preferred (and that we hadn’t forgotten anything)! When the morning of our wedding arrived, her calm nature and clear plans allowed me to enjoy my bridal party and get ready with ease while she so beautifully arranged our reception area. Throughout the ceremony and reception, she handled things myself or our loved ones otherwise would have been pulled away to do.
Martha’s assistance was invaluable to us, seeing as our venue did not have a day of coordinator and we lived out of state to our wedding venue. We couldn’t have asked for a more kind person to be there for us in a huge moment in our lives! She truly assisted us in ways we didn’t realize we would need to help our day run flawlessly. I am so thankful for her and wish I could work with her again! Wedding planning does not necessarily come easy to all and the mental load can be overwhelming. I highly encourage others to do themselves a favor and work with Martha as well!
Martha is so sweet and she was such a dream to work with. She provided the calm support I needed when I was going crazy with planning. We planned our Madison wedding while living out of state, and Martha helped us make sure that every detail was attended to leading up to the wedding. When we arrived in Wisconsin, there was nothing left to do but enjoy time with family and friends. Martha arranged her schedule to meet us in person for coffee while I was home for a summer visit leading up to the wedding. She instantly put us at ease, asking thoughtful questions about our venue, special family members, and logistics of the ceremony. I thought I was fairly organized leading up to that point, but after our meeting I realized the benefits of working with a professional coordinator like Martha!
Planning from afar was easy with her as she utilized Google docs for sharing purposes and emailed just to check in. It was evident throughout the entire process that Martha’s kind hearted personality would make for a wonderful wedding day experience. She contacted all of our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and attended our rehearsal the night before the wedding. Our family and friends loved Martha as much as we did! She used her creative and organized talents to put together a beautiful space at our venue, and took care of small details — from thank you cards for our vendors, to making sure our cards were delivered to our hotel room after dinner.

Our ceremony and reception were in two different cities and Martha made sure everything ran smoothly. We had a meeting a few months before the wedding, another one month before, and Martha even came to the rehearsal in order to make sure she had the details organized. At our ceremony, she really kept everything rolling at the right pace and in the correct order. Afterwards, she gathered and collected all the flowers and took them to the reception. I never thought I’d hire a wedding planner, it’s an investment and the planning up until the big day was stressful but doable. Having our church and reception venue 30 minutes apart with limited set up time beforehand, that’s what triggered the need for a day of coordinator. I saw great reviews with Bliss Coordinating and the ability to pay an hourly rate was just what we needed. We were able to customize what we needed done the day of so it didn’t fall on us or family to figure out. She was open to do whatever we felt was needed and provided suggestions based on previous weddings she’s worked. From the first time we met to our wedding day, Martha was always available, organized and contacted our vendors to make sure they were too. She worked behind the scenes to make our wedding day as special as it should be. We’re so glad we booked Bliss Coordinating and had Martha to fall back on!

Martha was the perfect day of coordinator! She went above and beyond anything we expected and was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. She met with us numerous times before the wedding to make sure that our questions were answered and to provide her expertise on various wedding logistics. Whenever things became stressful, Martha’s organization and professionalism helped keep us on track (and excited!) for the wedding.
On the actual day of the wedding, Martha was a rock star. She was willing to step in wherever we needed her. She helped create some of my floral arrangements, coordinated all the different vendors, kept track of the schedule, and even helped decorate the wedding trellis. We also heard from many of our family members and guests how much they enjoyed their interactions with Martha.
Overall, we cannot recommend Martha highly enough. She is a wonderful person, and any bride and groom would be lucky to have her!
Martha did such an amazing job as the day of coordinator for our wedding. We had the wedding at my parents house and needed someone to be on point for working with our vendors when they arrived, queuing the wedding ceremony, doing decor set-up between the ceremony and reception. She offered great insight during the planning process and during our onsite meeting the week prior to the wedding. She did exceeded all expectations beyond my tasks I requested she assist with, from contacting all our vendors prior to the event and adding fresh flowers to cover up part of the frosting that got damaged in the fridge. I had no stress the day of and it is due to her hard work and expertise. I can not recommend Martha more highly!

Martha was truly amazing and we would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone needing coordinating services! We hired Martha to be our day-of-coordinator for our wedding. We live out of state, so her help was truly invaluable. She was amazing the entire journey from our first initial meeting at a coffee shop about a year before the wedding, to the day of our wedding. She was always very organized and asked many questions about things I hadn’t thought of before (and I consider myself an on-top-of-it kind of person and very organized myself). She did so many behind the scenes things that I didn’t even know she was doing — for example, in the weeks leading up to the wedding, I know she had told me she was going to call all the vendors to confirm details, but she did it all so quietly that I wouldn’t have known she was indeed doing it unless my uncle (our officiant) hadn’t told me Martha had called him. The fact she was taking care of all the nitty gritty details and loose ends in the weeks before the wedding and making sure everything was good to go for our big day was a relief in itself – I was so busy with other things! Martha also came to our ceremony rehearsal, and if you can fit it into your budget to have her there for that, DO IT. She was SO HELPFUL I cannot tell you enough how thankful we were to have her there for that. Who knew a rehearsal could be so hard to coordinate and get people to listen ha! Then on the wedding day, Martha was excellent!! She greeted all the vendors for me, handed out tips, made sure everything ran on time, and put out all of my decorations and made sure it all looked good (among other things). She handled everything beautifully. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her. I knew she had everything so I didn’t worry about logistics at all. Also of note, Martha is so budget friendly. When I was first researching, I looked into other wedding coordinators and they were easily 1.5-2x her price. Martha, thank you SO much for all you did for us, we truly cannot thank you enough.

My husband and I got engaged in January 2016, with a May 2017 wedding date. A few months before the big day, my parents strongly recommended we find a wedding coordinator. Being a DIY Bride who has worked at weddings as event staff before, and being very independent, I figured I didn’t need the help and that having a coordinator would be unnecessary, because I’m self-sufficient and well organized. I did most of the wedding planning on my own – with much decor-making help from the bridal party.
Two months before the wedding, I ran into a friend who recommended Martha’s day-of wedding services, so she could help ensure everything got off to the right start, while I played princess and got ready. Everyone tells you that the day of your wedding will go by fast, and that’s an understatement.
We met with Martha and it was the BEST decision I’ve ever made. Martha had us map out where the decorations should go, how I envisioned the ceremony to look, and brought up many questions I hadn’t even thought of. It was clear she had done this plenty of times, and has her head on straighter than this DIY-self-sufficient-independent-Bride.
She got the names and numbers of all our vendors and called them to confirm times of delivery – something I didn’t expect at all. Martha went to our final walk-through of the event space to see where things should go. She sat with my husband and I and offered to deliver the decorations to the venue, so we could have an easier wedding day, while I was off getting my hair done. She went ABOVE and beyond.
The wedding hall was stunning, she greeted every guest, and she even gave our little mascot piggy a cute bolo tie.
Martha is a beautiful woman with a heart of gold and will do everything in her power to make your big day go off without a hitch. I would recommend her services to anyone and everyone – and encourage them to hire her for more than you think you need. Five-plus stars for Martha @ Bliss Coordinating. We wanted a beautiful and meaningful, but lower budget wedding for our daughter. We knew it was possible because some 34 years ago we had one for ourselves. But for ours, we grew our own flowers, made our own dance tapes, designed and printed off our own invitations, and cooked half the food ourselves, including the dinner for relatives the night before! To say we were exhausted by the time the wedding started is an understatement. And I was one hour late, having been at the venue with my husband setting things up till the last minute!
A friend suggested we enlist Martha. Martha shares our values in beautiful but simple and in DYI. Martha worked with us from the very start asking us the key questions we had no clue to even ask about. Martha provided us invaluable suggestions after learning our décor themes–even finding pieces for us–and offering valuable and practical suggestions on accomplishing what our daughter wanted. She was very thoughtful to be sure it was the vision our daughter had and not just ours (daughter lives on the west coast). There are so many things to bring together–from ceremony, to music, to food and vendors, rentals, parking, flow of event, timing and transitions, and a zillion other things. She pointed them all out and offered great suggestions.
Martha introduced us to Google docs to share in timelines, to do lists, to peoplepower deployment strategies for decorating/setting up to take down. She offered models to get us going. She helped us think through the ceremony.
She really is there to help realize what you want–but also recognizes that most of us have no clue in the beginning of such an important event of where to even begin. She’s organized, detailed, full of suggestions when asked, and generous with her time.

I rented the Wil-Mar Community Center to hold a large do it yourself birthday party for more than 100 people. I was managing food, DJ, photographer, videographers, etc. but didn’t want to deal with the actual coordinating during the day. On hearing everything that I was doing myself, the Wil-Mar Center staff recommended I talk with Martha at Bliss Coordinating to help manage the day-of details, leaving me to enjoy the party.

From the moment I spoke with Martha on the phone I felt that she was the missing part to the “do it yourself” party I was planning. We then met to get to know one another, and at that point I decided to hire her. We met once more and had several phone call and email exchanges to finalize planning, timing, etc.
I arrived at the site to organize setting up. About 30 minutes before the party started Martha arrived (just as we had planned) and took over. She coordinated the catering staff, greeted guests, ran interference as needed, paid vendors as they delivered food, etc. I actually have no idea everything she did, which is a testament to how seamlessly she coordinated everything.
At the end of the night, it was my task to take down tables and chairs, and that’s all I had to do. Everything else was done according to our plan.

Josh and I had attended several weddings in the past and our number one priority was being able to be relaxed and share the weekend with our loved ones. Martha helped us make this all possible. Martha was very helpful for me, meeting with me multiple times before our wedding day to discuss my ideas and how everything would fit into our budget. My biggest concern was the fact that I did not have a perspective for decor at all. Martha helped me plan out all of my ideas and get an idea of what really looked good. Up until the wedding day Martha was there to support us through all of the planning including meeting with vendors or just meeting for coffee to work through details. On our wedding day Martha helped coordinate all of the moving parts. Martha did so much for us during our wedding day. We had fresh flowers delivered from a local barn and Martha arranged all of the flowers into centerpieces as well as arranging all of the decor. Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful!
