 Martha of Bliss Coordinating is truly amazing. She was my day-of coordinator for the wedding but ended up being so much more. She was there with questions I hadn’t thought of throughout the planning process to help the wedding day go more smoothly. When it came to the day of, she was so organized with making sure vendors, wedding party, etc. were where they needed to be when they needed to be there. She added many of the decor touches that made the venue so stunning with little direction from me. I was very at ease knowing Martha was in charge and am thrilled with how the day turned out. We hired Martha Coughlin (of Bliss Coordinating) as our Day-Of-Coordinator for our wedding in July 2017 and still believe it was one of THE best decisions we made along the way in our wedding planning! We began looking for a Day-Of-Coordinator after realizing that some of our ideas which were unique, personal, and important to us also would require a lot of D.I.Y. last minute work and preparation leading up to our Big Day. Martha not only took on the jobs of setting up our ceremony and reception decor and facilitating the arrival and organization of our vendors, she also ensured that the day went off without a hitch, all while sticking to our timeline.

Martha is extremely organized and well prepared, as well as genuine and thoughtful. Unlike other Day-Of-Coordinators we had previously spoken with and considered, Martha truly cared about what OUR vision of the day looked like and respected our style and what was most important to us, rather than trying to change it to follow more mainstream or traditional ideas (as other coordinators had). She took the time to tour the wedding venue and meet with us on multiple occasions prior to our wedding in order to ensure that she clearly understood how we wanted the day to look and feel, all while offering thought-provoking questions and ideas along the way.

We truly cannot say enough positive things about Martha or our experience working with her. She is fun, creative, energetic, reliable, and helped us to create the beautiful and unique wedding day we had envisioned! Her services are extremely well-priced, however her work was worth it’s weight in gold to us! I rented the Wil-Mar Community Center to hold a large do it yourself birthday party for more than 100 people. I was managing food, DJ, photographer, videographers, etc. but didn’t want to deal with the actual coordinating during the day. On hearing everything that I was doing myself, the Wil-Mar Center staff recommended I talk with Martha at Bliss Coordinating to help manage the day-of details, leaving me to enjoy the party.

SO GLAD I CALLED AND HIRED MARTHA!

From the moment I spoke with Martha on the phone I felt that she was the missing part to the “do it yourself” party I was planning. We then met to get to know one another, and at that point I decided to hire her. We met once more and had several phone call and email exchanges to finalize planning, timing, etc.

I arrived at the site to organize setting up. About 30 minutes before the party started Martha arrived (just as we had planned) and took over. She coordinated the catering staff, greeted guests, ran interference as needed, paid vendors as they delivered food, etc. I actually have no idea everything she did, which is a testament to how seamlessly she coordinated everything.

At the end of the night, it was my task to take down tables and chairs, and that’s all I had to do. Everything else was done according to our plan.

Martha is a delight to work with, from ideating to planning to executing the plan. I recommend Martha to anyone planning a do it yourself party or gathering. She’s got great, practical and cost-conscious ideas, is extremely flexible, communicates clearly and promptly and is a genuinely likeable person.

You simply couldn’t go wrong hiring Martha to coordinate your event.

Josh and I had attended several weddings in the past and our number one priority was being able to be relaxed and share the weekend with our loved ones. Martha helped us make this all possible. Martha was very helpful for me, meeting with me multiple times before our wedding day to discuss my ideas and how everything would fit into our budget. My biggest concern was the fact that I did not have a perspective for decor at all. Martha helped me plan out all of my ideas and get an idea of what really looked good. Up until the wedding day Martha was there to support us through all of the planning including meeting with vendors or just meeting for coffee to work through details. On our wedding day Martha helped coordinate all of the moving parts. Martha did so much for us during our wedding day. We had fresh flowers delivered from a local barn and Martha arranged all of the flowers into centerpieces as well as arranging all of the decor. Everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful! We are so grateful that we had Martha’s support and guidance on our wedding day. I highly recommend her to all.

“We hired Martha for a wedding-reception style party. During the event, we wanted to focus on our guests and not worry about the logistics. A friend recommended Martha and we were thrilled she was available, especially because the event was only three weeks away. Martha met us at the venue ahead of time and asked great questions helping us to further work through logistics. On the day of the event she helped with set-up, laying out the food as needed (apps, dinner, desserts) and she cleaned up all the food while we were dancing.
